Aronia Chocolate Muffins
Dark chocolate and Darkmill powder, baked into a rich, tender muffin that's more grown-up than sweet.
Ingredients
- 1¾ cups flour
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons Darkmill aronia powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, Darkmill powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale, then whisk in the oil, buttermilk, and vanilla.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined — don't overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
